It was going to be Mother's day and I was still stucked wondering what to get for my MUM this year.. Well I thought about it.. It has to something of use, coz she's a practical women.. haha then me n Bestie, Soo Wei went out SHOPPING ~ When we came across lovely beautiful mugs selling Buy 1 Free 1 for RM25 !!! In the most unexpected place to buy these things... MPH Bookstore !!! hahaha.. Well.. Mother's Day came along n we both wrapped up our Mugs and wrote some Mother's Day note along ~ I shared the cost with my bro, as he was back home then..hehe.. My Mum loved the Gift !! In fact she being someone whose nickname was "camel" or "sui tong" (Cantonese for Water guzzler/tumbler) lolz.. She still uses this cup up till today !! What a great Gift right ? hahaha..

This place uses chilled fruits like pumpkin, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries,yam, coconut etc to blend in with ice cream ! Nice ! But Pricey !

They serve EVERYTHING BEEF !!, so non-beef lovers this is one you could possibly skip, but for those who like beef, this is the place for you ! The Beef they serve here consist of many different parts of the Cow, with many options of which parts you want. Their beef is really nice and tender and has that beefy soup to add to the flavour of your noodle. Unfortunetly, they only serve 3 types of noodles- Lai Fun, Mee Hoon and Kuey Teow. They also give you an option to eat the dry version or the soup version. Nonetheless, the Beef Noodles here was great and it's a must try !

Today in Campus Revolution Prayer meet, I got Reminded of my church Pastor's Sermon, just a reminder of how GOD has been good to us and how we should continue to run the race mark out for us, as we are now in a battlefield fighting the evil one ! and praying for our unsaved family members n friends. This is what I shared abt the sermon:

It was after a day's workout at the gym, feeling a bit dehydrated, I started craving for some spicy Food, Then *Poof* in my head was a bowl of yummy, yet spicy Tom Yam Soup !! I pulled my mum along as my father had some function on. Feeling greedy yet hungry, we decided to order 2 individual dishes along side with the Soup which we both shared.. Hahahaha.. unfortunetly, I could not take too spicy of a soup, thus we talked to the Lady boss who was kind enough to suggest the Tom Yam Soup less spicy !! Nonetheless, it was super good !! Putting that aside, we also ordered their Siamese Noodle and Pineapple Fried Rice. Their Noodle was pretty good, but the fried rice was nothing great to shout about !! That's all from me for now ;P

It was a friday night during the usual Cell Group, Aunty Mimi brought us 2 big packets to be shared among 10 peoplez during supper time! I heard she got it from Down Town KL, not sure where but it was awesome !! the crispy pork intestines was really crunchy to every bite you take and not oily, but I didn't fancy eating them. Instead I had 2 bowl servings of the yummy Pork Porridge !!
They also have chicken and other meats !

Me n 2 friends headed for Mc Donal's on the very last day to eat their Breakfast as they had been giving out Free Vouchers !! at 8.45am , you wouldn't believe the Que was almost reaching the door already !! Look at the Line ! My friend who came about 9.30am had barely space to squeeze herself out of the long line of pplz all queuing for the Breakfast promo !!

I wasn't a big fan of it,thus didn't buy any although some of the aunties bought some. No Photos were allowed inside, but managed to get a pic of it (below- the purple pack)

Snowy Experience at Snow Flake

It was a hot day yesterday and I had nothing better to do. Krystie asked me "Hey Kay Yi, Let's go Snowflake, I never go before, I hear my friend say very nice, I want try" after hearing her say that, I decided to go with her. We later pulled along another friend, Soo Wei to join us. When we went there it was so packed with cars around, had to park quite some distance and walk to snowflake. Finally reached~

This was not my first time having snowflake, but the Beeping UFO still amazes me. We ordered the 2nd Best Seller for a change of eating the no.1 Best Seller which was the Sea Amber (Lemon Jelly and Pearls on top of Lemon Jelly n Sea Coconut Syrup) and Coco Loco (Coconut Jelly with Coconut Ice Shaved topped with Grass Jelly n Yam n Sweet Potato Balls)

We had some vouchers to eat some of their specialty dishes, thus decided to use them up ! Off we went and headed to Tropicana City Mall, G Floor where they were serving Dim sum Dishes and promotional Set Lunch items too ! Well.. we sat down and look through their Oh-so- yummy menu (getting hungry) and ordered from their set Lunch the Porridge set and their Signature Fried Rice.

First of all..I would like to say a Well Done and Thanks! to having done a Wonderful Job !! I believe we have successfully reach out to all our Segi Subang Jaya Kakaks/Cleaners !!! And kinda got to know them a wee bit better and to be able to Spread our L o V 3 to them !!
Early yesterday morning, I went to pre-order the Nasi Lemaks with Fried Chicken and got Melissa's help to be in charged of the drinks- Cordial Mango !

Early this morning, I pulled Soo Wei along to help with the Nasi Lemak ordering for another 9 more, as I carelessly forgot about the main purpose to bless the Kakaks, but had instead only thought of myself and friends from CF coming to help ! *Sigh* Oh well, manged to pull through as I remembered at 1am in the morning !! but still was able to settle it and the Nasi Lemak guy was more than happy to have more business from me !! hahahahah..

We were having our usual Campus Revolution praying for our unsaved friends, college and a time being quiet before God, to listen as he speaks through us ! A Bible Verse and a song came to my mind regarding the plan to bless the Kakaks ! Nehemiah 8:10 " Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is sacred to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength". Before we could bless them, we had a short prayer and left to prepare the food and drinks !

We gave them the food and told them thank you and how much we appreciate what they are doing.. They were so happy to receive it and it was such a JOY to see the smiles in their face..They were really blessed! =) we believe that, Gods love is upon them and through this small act of kindness, we believe that God will touch their hearts and bless them abundantly.

Home Cooked Food is a blessing to have, especially when some people are out there starving or food rationing! My mum Never fails to give us surprises after surprises as every weekday she cooks, you will never know what will she churn out from the kitchen..1 day noodles stir fry her own version..next day random leftovers will be transformed into a new dish.. I really admire her for her cooking creativity, well..it's not so presentable looking, but hey ! who cares when the food is awesome !! We usually eat this with a nice bowl of white rice~

We were feeling hungry wanting to try out a new place around my housing area, thus we landed up trying this pretty new shop's food. So here we were very adventurously sat down and read the menu. A waiter came up to us and gave recommendations according to what he felt we each would like to try. I tried the Wild Boar Pie, my mum had the Pork Chop, My dad had the Lamb Chop !!

Lamb Steak with Blackcurrant Sauce (An excellent way to enjoy Lamb Leg, pan fried

then topped with sweet savory blackcurrant sauce served with roasted rosemary potatoes)

** Wasn't anything to shout about, meat was rather tough and sauce pretty normal

Peach Cooler
** I kinda liked this drink but felt it could use more peach syrup.. hahahaha

Pork Chops with Apple Cabbage Slaw & Passion Fruit Sauce
(Tender Pork chops pan fried till perfection, served with a tarty
Apple Cabbage Slaw & drizzled with our special Passion Fuit Sauce)
** Also nothing great..but interesting combination, but quite bland

The moment we arrived at college, we attended our usual CF prayer meet. Later at about 12.30pm ++ we headed for lunch - PORK BURGERS !! at Ninja Joe for a wonderful time of fellowship n makan~

Boy were we all so eager to bite into the juicy burger.. it was just so...mmnn...Yummy !! We all had pure silence for at least 1 minute while enjoying our scrumptiously delicious burger !!

They Serve Shurikens- Potato Cutlets with Pork meat inside too !! Oh so Glorious taste ! We can conclude it was a journey we'll long for more..!! Ninja joe here we come AGAIN.. !! haha..it just leaves you wanting more !!

We headed to the Arcade later on for a time to Digest our food and have fun~

Melissa & Misha went play some kiddy ball game n later on joined the rest.

The girls n Ray (African guy from our CF, new to these..) joined us for our Daytona Racing Car Game~ Reynolds after being defeated continued on playing other games such as the Drum Beat Game. Before heading out, Me n Ai Lynn decided to give Air Hockey a try, we BOTH were Equally good, leaving the score to a 2-2 win.

We walked on and headed to Replay our childhood once more.. we were the big babbies there playing with all sort of toys !! We laughed and posed to all sorts of funny poses~

We went around window shopping from shop-to shop and had lots more pictures taken~ We later adjurned for Kikuya's Japanese Buffet Dinner for RM 29.90++, where some of us ordered Unagi, Sashimi, Takoyaki etc etc.. and BEST --> HOT SAKE !! which really warms the throat. The Noisest n Most Memorable Wedding Dinner Ever !

Me n my mum were invited to a church friend's son's Wedding dinner..As u all know a wedding dinner is not equilavent to being in a Concert/ Disco party..

All went well like any other wedding dinners until this chinese singer guy, from the bride's brother's contact came on stage ! litle did we know that he'll be so DEAF !!
He took a mic, sound checked it n told the Audio Visual ppl, the mic was too soft for him..n exchanged it for a loader mic.

1st, he sung some traditional mandrin songs..which were just ok..with some really funny lacey jacket shirt n super loud music accompaniement....BUT...that was not the last of it, he was asked by the bride's brother to sing a few songs to entertain the guest..

2nd, he tried to imporsonate Michael Jackson, he wore a MJ Mask, glittery shirt and pants and started grooving a bit..the guest were kinda trilled at 1st, but later his dance was just so stiff !! n kept repeating simple movements like hands moving side ways, turning round n round..etc.. Terrible impersonator ! Boy ! If only the real MJ could rise from the grave to show him how its really done..hahahaha...

He kept singing on n on n on...so irritating n stressful for the old folks that the moment the last dish, Desert was out, you could probably seem n assume everyone was rushing to get out of the hall ASAP.. Soon after, my mum n some friends who were carpooling, all agreed to get out of the place ASAP...I pity the Bride n Groom..but anyway thanked them for inviting us etc.. Thank God I'm outta there already ! Silence was once again like something precious !

Eastin KL Hotel Carpark had a lousy carpark system, my mum paid the ticket fee, walked to the car which was just merely a 1 min walk away, drove another 1 min to the ticketing barrier in which u put the paid ticket into.. but the machine kept rejecting her ticket for some reason, n stalled many other cars who were at the back of her..she pressed the intercom for help, those lazy bums ! refused to help her, ask her to go find them somewhere in B1 Carpark..she told them she couldn't move, n will not move until they send someone to release her n unblock the jam !

Next time u plan to park in this Eastin Hotel Carpark..u better think twice..hahaha..

Prakash Chitty (PC) had a funny birthday party, although he too had dinner n fellowship time. He entertained us with an anime show. We were all having fun talking among ourselves, until the part we witnessed him opening his presents. Boy! Did he have a shock as 2 of the presents were wrapped in many layers of newspaper, giving him a kind of test on patience !

That was not all, after opening at least 1 whole newspaper worth of paper, to find a small box, containing 3 underwears given to him by 2 of his guy friends who were teasing him ! He was so shocked and was kinda intending to "kill" them ! He also got a big boss muscular handle mug n was posing to be cool with the big boss mug, not knowing the trickery his friends were doing behind him for the photo !

Soo Wei's 21st Bday

Its the time of the year again, where everyone's celebrating their Birthdays ! Its November n Soo Wei's 21st !

Big Gala Makan Session for Friends n Family. Many were present at her party to ceebrate with her. She only invited a few close friends from high school n college friends. Family members crowded the house from all the uncle, aunties, grandmas, grandpas etc all to celebrate this big day of hers !

I've known Soo Wei for almost 12 years plus !! My Dearest Bestie ! Although sometimes we don't get along very well, in fact we actually know each other very well, share our lives with each other, hang out together n even have fun times together !

It all started from my Birthday, The Special Birthday Drink !! Of course there's no escape from it no matter how far you run, you still have to drink it or get your face dunked into a cake or at least smeared with cream ! Alas, all the fun Birthday Bashes my dear gang of close friends do to each other, so much that it became like our tradition ! She also was lucky to get the guys drink up the rest of the drink too ! ;P

It was a few months ago i last updated my blog, so sorry for the inconvinience of my dear supporters/friends, although i don't really fancy writing n updating blog, but since i'm free n was asked to do an update by many, I should continue my journey ok ? =)

Once again the time of the year came and gone, the most memorable 21st Birthday Celebration. I had celebrated 3 times ! little did I know how well loved I was ! =) thanks pplz !

1st I had a celebration with a big group of close n good friends who wanted to join in for this glorious occassion. I held a Big "makan session" buffet style ! n then to get my friends to hang around and fellowship around.

It was the big day itself, My best friend Soo Wei got my friends all together for a few ice breaker game sessions before all were to have their food. After the "makan session" + fellowship time, without me knowing, my bunch of close friends from high school got together and made a concoction drink made out of almost all the food served from dinner, a bit of the oreo cheese cake, sarsi and red wine mixed in ! Boy ! was I in for a shock of my life when i smelled it...urggh..that punging smell could kill !! After making monkey faces at them, the girls negotiated with me, I take 1 sip and the rest will go to each guy present at the party to each take a sip too. Some puked, some were unaffected and best of all some enjoyed it !

On my birthday itself (mon) my dear church mates planned and worked along side with my parents to bring me out of the house for dinner and then to come back home to recieve a surprise ! While we were out, having a set of keys, they went in decorated the place with baloons, got my cake, arranged 21 cup candles around the coffee table in my house. Later they brought out a bottle of sparkling juice and gave the honour of opening the cork to me ! What a Wonderful Birthday indeed !

Sorry long time I haven't been able to write in some new post.. been superb buzy with piles and piles of assignments to finish, brother's wedding to attend...3 times !!! 1 in Perth, 1 in Malaysia, n 1 in singapore..gosh !!..it feels like i'm skipping so many classes and missing out !!! aaaaaahhhhh...(screaming away...) hehe..Anyway, just want to say a lil piece of stuff in here..coz I'll be leaving to singapore tommorow..for the very LAST Wedding Dinner..hahaha..Recently I had my hair temporary Permed...it made me look like a doll..those olden times..victorian dolls...ahhahaha.. at first..then later the curls slowly drop down..n wala..by night time its perfect ! then I had some Glitters on my permed hair too...that night was a tricky one..As I had to figure out some way to sleep to not massacre my hairdo !!..Fun experience !

at curve, Cineilesure there... went for a movie, followed by makan, wanted to go karoke (but none of us had enough money to pay RM62 each just to sing..so expensive !!!) so instead went for RM3 per game of Snooker. They taught me how to play snooker...quite fun..(actually, I used to simply play at my cousin's house..they have 1 table for themselves) but never really learnt how to hit etc..so we had like I think 5 games, I only joined in on the 2nd game and 3rd game..after I left they were still playing ! it was getting late..it was almost 10.30pm..but worth going out ! although this outing was meant to get to know rachel's BF, he was sssssssssssoooooooooooooo quiet.. answering with one word answers every time only..hardly know him still...haha

I had to present in front of 40 + classmates alone.. i had a little stage fright..but soon it went away..kinda overcoming my fear.. haha

During like the last day of CNY..i think..i happened to have gone to the gym, later followed my dad to the USANA direct selling company office where they were having CNY party thing, they hosted some fortune cookies, yee sang tossing ceremony, and also the main attraction, the Lion Dance !! It did some interesting performance, i was there watching...oooh, i tell you i nearly was like deaf after they had finished drumming away...hahaha. (It was my 1st and last time seeing lion dance during CNY this year !)

btw, my fortune cookie said: Your Good Deeds are Never forgotten !

funny, coz another day i went for dinner with my family, went my aunt gave out to us fortune cookie box, asking us to pick 1, i took 1, opened it and it had the same fortune !!! What a Coincidence !!

Victor's Birthday and CNY Party

Here shows you basically what went on, we had makan, games...played with those gambling cards, but of course never gamble..just play "choi tai te" and "blackjack". Then we watched "IP Man" Movie on her TV..my 2nd time watching it..haha.. then finally surprised Victor with his birthday cake, well he wasn't quite surprise due to the tortoise daryl who kinda hinted what we might do to him..he was lucky this year no one smashed his face into cake, as the tradition for the other pplz b'day celebration so far...hahaha..(evil laugh). Before he cut his cake Siang Lin (Chris) and me tries to curi makan his cake hahahahaha... no lar..just pose for camera only..hehe.
Later on before i was about to leave, they started to guys n girls pose like all sort of funny things for fun n snap shots of it, unluckly, i didn't stay on for it..had to go off already..but it was sooo fun !!

Jane's Surprise 22nd Birthday Party

We all went to her house, unc.nick eagerly peeps out of house, n all of us hid in the kitchen. She was walking towards the kitchen, when she got a shock...as we sung happy birthday to you.. We also showed her our hand-made/designed shirt with her name in silver in front, and all our names tht came for the party were all signed at the back of her shirt. She was rather impressed !

Later we were served muruku, masmallows fondue and of course her birthday cake.

Costumes n Culture Presentation

all taking turns to showcase the different costume..haha..we didn't know how to wear sari, so luckly guna graciously helped us learn how to wear sari.

As you can see..these are part of my group's learning center theme on costumes and cultures. We had wonderful presentation n dressing up, posing for photos later on..ahahaha

our art n craft activities, i was in charge of showing how to make japanese doll bookmarks. The dolls (3rd pic) i made the sari and kimono..hehe

this is the tri-fold board with all the information on costumes n their cultures. You can get it all about the 4 countries.. india, korea, japan and china in our booth, down to showcasing how to wear the costumes.. i demo japanese kimono..hehe

Lately, me n my group of 5 friends we r about to do a presentation on costumes n cultures, in particular, we chose Japan, India, China, and Korea to talk more about their traditional costumes and the culture tht is behind the origins of the costumes etc.. very interesting, i learnt so much more..hehe..esp jap kimono, yukata..etc..hahaha...i was the one in charge of doing the research !!..LOL ..XP

See so hardworking my other group members..we had to meet up so many times just to fin doing the tri-fold board, decorations and 5 activities related to this theme.

Lecturer gave us a piece of majong paper, crayons and color pencils. She asked us to draw and depict 1 of each culture, had to draw 2 persons eating differently all together. My group did on Japan and India. Indian uses hands to eat, whereas, japanese uses chopsticks.

She had it in her house last night, she invited her college friends n fellow friend's church member ppl to come, there was agape, esther...and a few more can't recall their names !

Anyway, we had lots of yummy food n chat time. N not to forget, the best part..watching her use her mouth to take candle out of creamy durian cake. Then later she got creamed by her younger brother, her hair n face had cream..boy that was funny ! too bad my handphone died before i could take some more shots.

This morning, was children's party day.. lots of games n prizes, and even early christmas cookie n key chain gift from Wenxuan (my student). Her mum baked cookies for all the teachers..mine was so cute...gingerbread man cookie..it was quite nice.. imagine nowadays, mums are so free to make cute cakes like this for the teachers.

We had play time with goo (flour and water mixture with not too much water in it) to make it sticky enough to have that elasticity in it to mould the dough, and at the same time, it'll melt in the hand..so cool !

Busy Busy Day For KKEY, CONCERT DAY is near !! its going to be on the 14th Nov !
Here are some snaps and stuff i managed to get..so far this are the older children, the K3 and K4 (5 and 6 years old classes) My class, K3 has mandrin concert too..the ones with the red ribbons are the singers, then some duck family, and a pack of wolves in the story.. as for the K3's actual class presentation, we have a short skit and end with a dance n reciting memory verse. Basically, the story goes like tht:

Scene 1

One fine day, in an aerobics class, 6 young girls were dancing to a song (Waves Of Mercy) then an old man came along n decided to join them, but instead fell down with a heart attack ! the girls calls ambulance. Ambulance driver comes, pick him up put him in ambulance n drives him to hospital, and helps put him on operating table, wearing a shower cap for him !

Scene 2

Doctor and Nurse comes in to room, doctor inspects what's wrong, calls the nurse to get her the injection, nurse goes out n brings the tray of stuff needed for operation. Doctor asks for knife, nurse takes the big saw out (made from cardboard) and kind of saw him up. Doctor tells murse tht she needs to do a heart transplant. Doctor again calls out for the nurse to get a scissors this time (giant size one, also made from cardboard)and cuts his old heart away. Doctor calls out and asks for the new heart. Nurse goes n gets new heart on another tray, but accidentally drops it, blowing it clean, she puts it back on tray as if nothing happened, giving it to the doctor. Doctor takes new heart, placing it onto patient, gets needle and sews him up.

Finale

ALL K3 children come on stage for final dance (same song as b4- Waves of mercy), followed by a recitation of memory verse JAMES 1:13 " Every good n perfect gift is form above, it comes down from the father" 2 girls come out, reads the finale lines..about keeping healthy and exercising daily to be healthy!

Heng Keat's 28th Birthday Celebration !!

Last night, me and my parents were invited to dine in Chilis Restaurant, (1 Utama new wing)to celebrate my cousin's 28th Birthday !! Wahhhh...Gala Makan only...yummy food...especially the Dessert part...Molten chocolate Cake..Yummmy..hehe. i had Lamb Shank as my Main course..boy so full after that...but later they gave him a complimentary brownie cake, with a scoop of ice-cream, nuts and to top it off with a delicious cherry..(but nothing so great bout it !)Was getting bored, took a few pics of my cousin..even his gf was trying to kacau him !! hahaha...

We had another time to play in class after our lecturer's lecture class was over ! she asked us, a group of 6, to bring a bottle of shaving cream.. she brought food colouring red and green !!

So we just played..this is my masterpiece..some of my friend's made shaving cream snow man...but i had my hands dirty by then, n couldn't capture..it was all sooo fun !! Suddenly we are like our kindy kids already !! hahaha...

Play n Learning

We were asked to construct 3 games after listening to the story called Chika, chika boom boom, it was on alphabets telling each other to meet them on a coconut tree..

1st Game

My group drew a pic of how it was supposed to be played. On a toilet paper roll, we will have a coconut tree and write the Uppercase Letters on it. then comes the coconut fruit represented by balls of brown, crushed up paper, which is having the LowercaseLetters drawn on them. Next, we are to aim and whack down the same letter as the one we happened to be holding..e.g i'm holding the letter "d", i have to throw it a "D"

2nd Game

Alphabet matching!

Upper Case Letters drawn on a coconut tree, Lower case Letters on a special cut out piece of paper, in the shape of a coconut. the child will pick an alphabet on the coconut Lower case Letters, and match it with the Upper case Letters in the tree.

3rd Game

There would be 26 baskets/containers that Labels A-Z, and some picture cards. the child is to Match the pic by reading the name of the object/animal..etc and find out which is the starting sound, putting them into corresponding baskets.. e.g Fish (begins with "f"), so child places it in the Basket that labels "F"
